Being a mom: I tried, but I couldn’t

I really tried, believe me. I wanted to post a video on Instagram every day, or at least every week, about the books I read telling people how nice or awful the novel is, giving them the characters’ profile and the spoiler about the end of the story.

The problem was that with so many children at home, papers to grade, meals to cook and books to read, I couldn’t find the time to record the videos. And it is not just recording them. You have to prepare the script, remember details having a glimpse at the books once in a while, wear nice makeup and finally, edit the video to post it.

I’m sorry, but it is just impossible for a teacher-reader-mother who has tried and eventually failed on one (or more) of those steps above.

Writing is ok. I may write at my quiet moments such as lunch time or in the middle of my insomnia episodes. As writing doesn’t demand talking, making noise or any music effect, I feel free and even more relaxed to exposure about my literature knowledge, which is not that much, however, I am always in the urge of sharing it in the web.

The same with my master degree. I tried, but I couldn’t. No need to explain, right?
